Open Source

Before the proprietary and patent wars of the 90s most of the software was “open source” but back in the day they used to call it just free software, because that's how it always was stemming from work from all the way back to the 1970s. The benefits of open source are everywhere whether its OS kernels, network stacks, web browsers, to open work processes like W3C working groups ; to the the libraries we use and the contributions we get. The internet is the result of the billions of lines of codes, millions of commits, and 1 conscience the living breathing identity of billions of humans connected in an ever changing complex cell evolving from within, shifting, moving, expanding, and contradicting all at once, this is singularity.
